Full Face Non Verbal Mask Theatre conceals, gives permission to play, allows expression, liberates and reveals – and is a perfect community engager. Participants will be continually amazed by their own and their peers, at their transformations. This particular mask style has the capacity to instill a sense of joy, vulnerability, physical discipline and freedom of expression in the performer.
This Program gives participants the opportunity to play, express, be physical, relate and discover in real time and space. Clint’s approach is underpinned by the assumption that everyone has something to offer and that mask work is a unique and powerful engager that has the capacity to inspire participants who might otherwise hang back.
Clint Bolster is a prominent character actor, theatrical clown, Commedia Dell’Arte & mask theatre specialist, stilt performer & trainer and teaching artist from Brisbane, Australia. With over 15 years’ committed to developing new works and training extensively, Clint regularly performs in Australia and internationally in the United Kingdom, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan and was recently accepted into the Cirque du Soleil team of Clowns for future productions. Clint is also Artistic Director of Homunculus Theatre Company (In Schools Programs), Manoeuvre Roving Stilt Performers (Roving Stilt Acts) and The Mask Family (Highly Visual and Interactive Roving Mask Theatre Acts). Clint is a proud Queensland Board Member and Mentor for The Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance, and Board Member for Indel-Ability Arts.
Attached are some images and video footage from a project he did at The Crush Festival in Bundaberg – only had 2 hours with the community.

Testimonial from Crush Festival
“Flexible, engaging and inspiring, Homunculus Theatre is an absolute joy to work with as Clint adapted to the festival’s needs! Would highly recommend festivals book in early and lock this man down for dates. A brilliant facilitator and internationally recognised performer, Clint will go the extra mile to make your experience memorable!” — Di Wills, Creative Regions 2018
