What We Do > Kids in the City

Kids in the City is a programme of creative and performing arts events and activities run through our youth arm, Props Youth Theatre. Activities include storytelling, music, puppet making, visual arts activities, acrobatics and clowning, daytime discos, movies, craft, chalk drawing, dress ups, acting, theatre games, singing and dancing.

Full Throttle Theatre Company aims to use the creative and performing arts to:
- Attract families to the city heart
- Provide a safe, fun environment to care for children whilst parents enjoy inner-city shopping
- Engage with young people to encourage creativity from an early age
- Employ local artists to run activities
- Develop diverse partnerships with arts and non-arts organisations
- Strengthen our cultural community
- Promote Full Throttle Theatre Company and the Old Courthouse venue
- Contribute to creating a vibrant and active inner city
All of the arts workers will hold current Blue Cards and have experience working with children. Parents can provide children with food and drink. Water will be provided.
